The Keystone Town Board will see three new faces take the oath of office at the town’s May 4 meeting after all three were elected to the board during last night’s election.
In the race for the two two-year terms that were available, Trygve Nelson was the top vote getter, as he received 71 votes. Coming in second and also earning a three-year term on the board was Justin Moss, who received 57 votes. Current board president Nikki Ball received 39 votes in the election, while Brenda Peterson finished with 26 votes.
In the race for the lone one-year term available on the board, Lynette Gohsman emerged victorious, as she captured 61 votes, while former board trustee David Cofoid received 45 votes.
The election took place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. yesterday, with voters casting their ballots at Keystone City Hall.
Election season now moves ahead to the June 7 primaries, where the Hill City School District Board of Education and Hill City Council seats are up for grabs, among other elections.
