On Sunday, May 22, at 10:30 a.m., the Hill City High School (HCHS) class of 2016 will celebrate their accomplishments at the Mount Rushmore Memorial Amphitheatre and begin the next stage of their lives.
At this year’s commencement, honored speakers valedictorian Taylor Vaughn, salutatorian Jessica Houser and Dr. Joy Mueller will share their reflections on the high school experience and advice for the years to come.
The HCHS band and choir will perform most of the musical selections for the program, including “Let Your Heart Be Staid.”
The class flower is the tiger lily and the class saying is “There’s a million things I haven’t done, but just you wait.”
After diplomas are awarded, the program will conclude with the class song, “I’ll Be There for You,” by the Rembrandts.
